M00-Consider
Each human is an independent agent, one of 6 billion passengers
orbiting the sun on space ship Earth.
Each acts in accordance with their beliefs, by deliberate reason or
default emotion. Most are wrapped up in
their daily lives – unaware they are traveling in space – or are made of atoms,
manufactured some 10 billion years ago.
Such was unknown prior to WW 2 – things changes with time.
Humans are
self-replicating computers with no quality or quantity control, born with blank
memories and primitive operating systems. All can replicate and vote. None are perfect, most are competent, a few
brilliant and some malfunctioned.
Humans are programmed by the society in which they are born and can be
taught to believe almost anything. To a
medical Dr we are all alike; variations of the same basic animal; a food source
to hostile bacteria.
Humans are a variety pack of: size, shape, color, skills and mental
aptitude – the term “all are created equal” applies to legal and political
equality. Most are wired right but some
are wired wrong. The replication
process produces far more good than bad, but some are indeed flawed. There will always be a need for human laws
to protect against human flaws – and for good people to enforce them. Warped humans use the gullible to satisfy
their ego and greed.
Humans have become hybrids – half animal and half machine. Prior humans could not fly or send their voice around the world. Hybrids can be dangerous, one malfunctioned hybrid can kill millions using others machines.
Babies, set to zero, require parental assistance to become
self-sufficient. Babies like to feel
good and avoid bad, pursuing reward and avoiding pain. They learn from those about them and by
experimentation. They compete and share
with siblings, bond with family and clan while learning rules and consequences.
Children are masters of “make believe” and “play like”;
enthusiastically making mud pies, knowing they are not real. They believe in Santa
Clause, until by reason they know better.
As parents, they delightfully introduce their children to this
fantasy. Each seek answers to their
unknowns and strived to master skills, finding pleasure in self-achievement.
Society is a living
body of “human cells”. Each a genetic copy of two sources, selected at
random. Each newborn is a fresh copy,
with no trace of parental knowledge or experience – they are programming by
self and others.
Earths includes multiple kinds of societies,
similar but different; some cooperate and all compete for finite
resources. Society serves all, the
productive care for the young, old and handy capped – according to local laws
and standards.
Absolute rule
demands adherence to the ruler’s beliefs.
Democratic rule, of the people by the people for the people, adhere to
peoples beliefs. Democracy depends on
enlightened people with good standards like the Golden Rule, “do unto others as
you would have others do unto you.”
Human history
reveals triumphs and tragedy in the quest for solutions. While killing each other, convinced their
cause is right, they also create magnificent architecture, statues, paintings
and song – they can express past and future with feelings and humor unknown to
other species. Humor is generated spontaneously
to relieve stress. Forecasting a future
with hopes and dreams is more than uplifting, positive beliefs are essential to
persons and society.
Human population is exploding, out of
control. Will humans become masters of their own destiny or will absolute laws
of natures kick in – such could be hurtful.
Aware
new humans need to prepare for what’s ahead; I’ve prepared an outline of
changes, from origins to now, using
what is known from Astronomy, Geology, Biology, Anthropology and History. Things unknowable when our class of 41
was born are now knowable and we live where enlightenment is available to
all. It’s a fantastic and beautiful
world with a bright future – if humans program themselves to think and
do right.
