WW I ends Troops return home

Bill, Wayne, Byron, Rell, Earl  Landau brothers together again

Bill talks Rell into going to work for him on News Paper he’s started  in Torrington Wyoming.

If they had some decent hi ways, we wouldn’t be struggling to get this car back on the road!!

Bill’s Torrington News Paper didn’t work out and Rell returns home.

William Landau, Oscar Johnson (married to Dora Landau),  Forrest Redman (married to Suzie Landau)

Note that all three are smoking cigars while seated on the threshold of Oscars Barn

Yeah Rell, I can always use some help at the Oberlin Elevator now that Wayne’s running the one in Kanona.  Oscars now farming the home place.  Forrest & Jay Paddock now run their Redman-Paddock Lumber Co in Oberlin.

I’ll take you up on that Dad, until I can find something better, I’m not enamored with a life of filling boxcars with wheat.

Rell get’s job as Register of Deeds at Courthouse, finishing a term for a fellow who had to quite.

Then he’s offered a job with Reserve Building and Loan as their Field Man.

Soon he’s a man about town, meets the girl. Ila Bobbitt, working at Herald Office (news paper) next door.

They strike up a budding romance – and she puts up with his smoking cigars, a habit he picked up in service.

He became part of the Bobbitt clan – and the rest is other sets of photos.

These steps are now part of the Landmark Inn which had served as Court House, Bank & Telephone Central Office.
