Fig 10 Taken July 10 1942 over Guadalcanal by Cpl McBride with hand held K-20 camera. This is believed to have been the first picture taken to confirm presence of Zero Float in area. They shot one engine out on LB-30 and we had 1000 mile flight to Port Moresby with an attempted salvo bomb bay tank protruding. This was on a check off flight check. Pilot Ezzard was check pilot, Fields being checked out! Note, never cared much for LB-30 after this.
