Locations of the following 1998 photos, of down town locations in Oberlin KS, are indexed to this pre WW II aerial view. Awning structures added after WW II do not show up in this aerial view.

Oberlin Cemetery is to the east on US 36

High School and City Park are at east end of Hall St.

First set of photos were taken at intersection of Commerce & Main.

Second set were taken from near Rail Road crossing South Main.

Sappa Creek was normally only a trickle except it could readily overflow it’s banks if there was a heavy rain.
